Cabinets built around your appliances
Plantation's first homes went up in 1947 on East Acre Drive, two-bedroom houses on one-acre lots, and the city incorporated in 1953. Most of what stands today came later. In 1964 the Gulfstream Land Development Company bought land west of University Drive for its Jacaranda community, and by Census estimates about half of today's homes were built in the 1970s and 1980s.
If your kitchen was planned around a 30-inch range and a standard refrigerator, a remodel is the time to change that. A 36-inch range, an induction cooktop, a wall oven with a microwave above it, or a column refrigerator and freezer each need an opening of their own. Custom cabinets are planned around the exact models and their installation instructions, and panel-ready appliances can disappear behind doors. Choose the appliances before the cabinets go into production.

What Dreamery projects cost in 2026: a standard kitchen (15–25 linear ft of cabinets) runs $19,000–$24,500 at the Essential level, more for larger layouts and premium finishes; bathrooms from $6,000 for a powder room to $38,000–$49,000 in labor for a Premium primary suite, plus finish materials you buy at retail; flooring $10–18 per sq ft with a $3,000 minimum; whole-home renovations $35–75 per sq ft of living area. Every number comes from our own signed contracts, not a national average — get the range for your project in the calculator. The in-home measure and the written, itemized estimate are free. 3D design package: $99 (regularly $500), free when you sign the contract.
Cabinets are quoted per project, not per foot from a brochure: the price depends on the number of boxes, door style, finish and hardware. Your 3D design comes with one written, itemized quote where the cabinet line is shown separately from countertops and labor.
Because the cabinets come from our own shop, you skip the showroom markup: the same all-plywood, dovetail-drawer construction at direct-from-manufacturer pricing. Plantation Acres, Jacaranda and the condos
Plantation Acres, annexed in 1973, is kept as a rural district. If the kitchen there has the space, it can take a second sink, a pantry wall and an island with seating on two sides. In a 1970s or 1980s kitchen closed in by a soffit, the cabinets add height and drawers.
About a quarter of Plantation homes are in buildings of 20 units or more, by Census estimates. In a condo we get the association's rules on deliveries, elevator bookings and hours first, and the boxes are sized to fit the building.

Questions homeowners ask us
We want a 36-inch range where a 30-inch one was. Can the cabinets be rebuilt around it?
Yes. The run is redrawn around the new range, and the cabinets on either side are sized to the wall. Gas or electrical changes for the new range are planned and priced in the same itemized quote.
Can a wall oven and a microwave go in one tall cabinet?
Yes. A tall oven cabinet takes a wall oven at a comfortable height with a microwave or a second oven above it, and drawers below. The opening is built to the models you choose, so pick them before production.
Do you work in Plantation Acres?
Yes. If the kitchen has the space, it can take an island with seating on two sides, a second sink and a pantry wall. Where there is no HOA, there are no association rules to schedule around.
How are the cabinets priced?
Per project, with the cabinet line on its own in the itemized quote. For the whole kitchen, turnkey without appliances, the calculator gives $26,000–$33,500 for a large kitchen with an island at the Essential level and $58,000–$75,000 at Premium, where integrated appliance panels come in. Appliances supplied through us add 35%.
What happens to the countertop when the cabinets change?
It is usually replaced. A new run rarely matches the old footprint to the inch, and stone can crack on the way off. Quartz or natural stone tops are templated after the new cabinets are installed, so they fit the new run exactly.
How long until the new cabinets are in?
The 3D design and the itemized quote arrive within 5 business days of the consultation. After the contract is signed, the shop builds the cabinets, and a typical kitchen is installed 4–6 weeks later.
