Custom Kitchen Cabinets in Pompano Beach
Two-thirds of Pompano's homes were built before 1980, and four in ten are in buildings of 20 units or more. Many kitchens are condo galleys or 1950s ranch kitchens, and both reward cabinets built to measure.
- Galley runs built to the inch for 1960s and 70s condo kitchens
- Boxes sized for the service elevator and the corridor
- All-plywood boxes, dovetail drawers, soft-close
- 3D design $99 (reg. $500), free when you sign
Condo galleys and 1950s ranch kitchens
Pompano Beach is a city of the 1960s and 1970s. By Census estimates about half of today's homes went up in those two decades, and the median home was built around 1974. Along the beach, the small cottages that stood there in the early 1950s gave way to condominium towers in the 1960s and 1970s. Inland, Palm-Aire grew around its golf courses in the late 1960s and 1970s.
A condo kitchen from that period is often a galley: two short runs facing each other and a soffit over the wall cabinets. Built to measure, the same galley gets uppers to the ceiling where the soffit can come out, a pull-out pantry in the gap that used to hold a filler, and drawers that clear the opposite counter when they open. The 3D design checks that clearance before anything is cut.
In old Northeast Pompano the houses are 1950s and early 1960s concrete-block ranches, low and spread out, often with the kitchen closed off from the living room. There the cabinets often come with a new layout, and the Broward and Palm Beach kitchen cost guide shows what that does to the price.

Know what your kitchen remodel costs before anyone walks through your door.
A few quick questions, one honest range built from what we actually charge in South Florida — not a national average from a website that has never seen your kitchen.
What it costs in 2026
What Dreamery projects cost in 2026: a standard kitchen (15–25 linear ft of cabinets) runs $19,000–$24,500 at the Essential level, more for larger layouts and premium finishes; bathrooms from $6,000 for a powder room to $38,000–$49,000 in labor for a Premium primary suite, plus finish materials you buy at retail; flooring $10–18 per sq ft with a $3,000 minimum; whole-home renovations $35–75 per sq ft of living area. Every number comes from our own signed contracts, not a national average — get the range for your project in the calculator. The in-home measure and the written, itemized estimate are free. 3D design package: $99 (regularly $500), free when you sign the contract.
Cabinets are quoted per project, not per foot from a brochure: the price depends on the number of boxes, door style, finish and hardware. Your 3D design comes with one written, itemized quote where the cabinet line is shown separately from countertops and labor.
Because the cabinets come from our own shop, you skip the showroom markup: the same all-plywood, dovetail-drawer construction at direct-from-manufacturer pricing. Promotional financing is available for qualified buyers through our lending partners; pre-qualification takes about a minute with a soft credit pull.

Getting cabinets into a Pompano building
In a condo the association decides when deliveries can come in, when noisy work is allowed and which service elevator can be booked, and it usually wants a certificate of insurance before the first day. We collect those rules first and build the schedule around them.
Our shop is in Coral Springs, about half an hour from the beach. At the consultation the designer measures the kitchen, the elevator and the corridor, and brings door and finish samples to choose from.

Questions homeowners ask us
Can you build cabinets for a 1970s condo galley?
Yes, it is where building to measure helps most. The layout usually stays, because the plumbing stack decides where the sink can go, and the storage changes: uppers to the ceiling, drawers instead of base doors, a pull-out pantry in a gap that used to hold a filler.
We live near the ocean. Does that change the cabinets?
Salt air and humidity are hard on particleboard. Our boxes are all plywood, with dovetail drawers and soft-close hinges and slides, the construction we use on every kitchen because it holds up in Florida humidity.
Do you work in Palm-Aire?
Yes. Palm-Aire grew in the late 1960s and 1970s, with condos around the golf courses and single-family homes. We measure the room, check what the community requires for deliveries and work hours, and design the cabinets to the walls.
How long from design to installed cabinets?
The 3D design and one itemized price arrive within 5 business days of the consultation. After you sign, the cabinets are built in our Coral Springs shop, and a typical kitchen is finished 4–6 weeks after the contract is signed.
Can I see the design before committing?
Yes. The in-home measure and the written, itemized estimate are free. The 3D design package, a rendering of your new kitchen within 5 business days, is $99 instead of the regular $500, and free when you sign the contract.
Can I pay for my kitchen over time?
Promotional financing options may be available for qualified buyers through our lending partners. Pre-qualification takes about a minute with a soft credit pull that does not affect your score. Dreamery is not a lender; offers are subject to lender approval.
