Bathroom Remodeling in Plantation, FL
Half of Plantation's homes went up in the 1970s and 1980s. If your bathroom still has its original layout, we rebuild it with a walk-in shower, better ventilation and a vanity from our shop.
- Walk-in showers in the tub's space
- Fans and lighting sized for the room
- Vanities built in our own shop
Plantation bathrooms from the 1970s and 1980s
By Census estimates about half of Plantation's homes were built in the 1970s and 1980s, another fifth in the 1990s, and about one in six before 1970. Homes from those two decades are now roughly 37 to 56 years old.
Besides the look, two things are worth checking in a bathroom that age: whether the exhaust fan clears the steam, if there is one, and whether one light over the mirror is all the room has. When we rebuild a bathroom, the fan is sized for the room and vented outside where the house allows, and the lighting can be planned in layers, over the mirror and in the shower.
The shower is the other big change. A tub that is rarely used can give its space to a walk-in shower with glass and a niche, built as a waterproofed system before any tile goes on; see walk-in showers and tub-to-shower conversions.

What it costs in 2026
What Dreamery bathrooms cost in 2026: a fixed labor price plus an itemized shopping list. You buy the finish materials (tile, fixtures, a stock vanity) at retail from our exact shopping list with no markup, or we build a custom vanity in our Coral Springs shop and quote it as its own line. A small full bath (5×8) runs $12,000–$15,500 in labor at the Essential level, $15,000–$19,500 at Signature and $19,000–$24,500 at Premium, plus roughly 35–70% of that for finish materials. Powder rooms start around $6,000; primary suites run $24,000–$49,000 in labor. Turning a tub into a walk-in shower adds about 25%. The in-home measure and the written, itemized estimate are free. 3D design package: $99 (regularly $500), free when you sign the contract.
Every bathroom gets a fixed labor price and an itemized shopping list, with no markup: demolition, waterproofing, tile and stone setting, vanity and fixture installation, plumbing and electrical changes and project management are priced in writing before work starts. You buy the finish materials from the shopping list at store price, so nothing hides in an allowance.
When the vanity and storage come from our own shop, you skip the showroom markup on the cabinetry line. Promotional financing is available for qualified buyers through our lending partners; pre-qualification takes about a minute with a soft credit pull.

Houses, the Acres and condos
In Plantation Acres, annexed in 1973 and kept as a rural district, a larger house may have a primary bath to match. In buildings of 20 units or more, which hold about a quarter of the city's homes, the shower drain stays within reach of the building's stack and the association approves the work before it starts.
Large-format porcelain, a vanity built to the wall in our Coral Springs shop and a frameless glass panel suit both a ranch house and a condo.

Questions homeowners ask us
Does the exhaust fan need replacing?
If it does not clear the steam, yes. We size the new fan for the room and the shower, and vent it to the outside where the house or the building allows. A fan that clears the steam protects the paint, the grout and the vanity.
Can large tiles work in a small bathroom?
Yes, and they often help. Large-format porcelain means fewer grout lines, which makes a small floor look calmer and is easier to clean. The floor has to be flat for big tiles, so we level it first where it needs it.
Can our tub become a walk-in shower?
Usually. The tub comes out, a sloped, waterproofed pan goes in, then tile, a niche and glass. Where the slab allows, the curb can be low or left out, and we add blocking in the walls for grab bars now or later.
How much does a bathroom remodel cost in Plantation?
Labor is a fixed price, and the finish materials are bought by you at retail from our shopping list with no markup. A mid-size full bath runs $15,000–$19,500 in labor at the Essential level and $19,000–$24,500 at Signature. The calculator on this page gives the range for your room.
Do you remodel condo bathrooms in Plantation?
Yes. We prepare our part of the association's package from the 3D design, plan the work around its hours and the elevator, and keep the shower drain within reach of the stack.
Where is the vanity built?
In our Coral Springs shop, sized to the wall, with all-plywood boxes and soft-close hardware. A stock vanity from our shopping list is also an option.
