Cottages, villas and condos
Delray Beach's housing comes in layers. Near downtown, the city's historic districts keep houses from the 1920s and 1930s, when bungalows and Mediterranean Revival houses went up, along with Key West-style cottages for the winter colony. Most housing came later: by Census estimates about half of the homes in the city were built in the 1970s and 1980s. And west of the city line, 55+ communities such as Kings Point and High Point carry Delray Beach addresses.
In a small cottage kitchen, painted cabinets with beaded or inset doors suit the house, and open shelves can take the place of a wall cabinet that would crowd a window. In a villa or condo from the 1970s and 1980s the brief is storage: uppers to the ceiling where the soffit can come out, drawers in the base cabinets, a pantry pull-out in the space a filler used to take.

Delray Beach, FL · Instant estimate
Know what your kitchen remodel costs before anyone walks through your door.
A few quick questions, one honest range built from what we actually charge in South Florida — not a national average from a website that has never seen your kitchen.
What it costs in 2026
What Dreamery projects cost in 2026: a standard kitchen (15–25 linear ft of cabinets) runs $19,000–$24,500 at the Essential level, more for larger layouts and premium finishes; bathrooms from $6,000 for a powder room to $38,000–$49,000 in labor for a Premium primary suite, plus finish materials you buy at retail; flooring $10–18 per sq ft with a $3,000 minimum; whole-home renovations $35–75 per sq ft of living area. Every number comes from our own signed contracts, not a national average — get the range for your project in the calculator. The in-home measure and the written, itemized estimate are free. 3D design package: $99 (regularly $500), free when you sign the contract.
Cabinets are quoted per project, not per foot from a brochure: the price depends on the number of boxes, door style, finish and hardware. Your 3D design comes with one written, itemized quote where the cabinet line is shown separately from countertops and labor.
Because the cabinets come from our own shop, you skip the showroom markup: the same all-plywood, dovetail-drawer construction at direct-from-manufacturer pricing. Promotional financing is available for qualified buyers through our lending partners; pre-qualification takes about a minute with a soft credit pull.

Working in 55+ and condo communities
Kings Point alone has a little over 7,000 condominiums, built between 1973 and 1985. In communities like it the association sets contractor registration, work days and delivery rules, and some allow noisy work on weekdays only. We ask for those rules before the schedule is set.
If the goal is a kitchen that is easier to use, the cabinets do much of it: deep drawers in place of base doors, everyday dishes between knee and shoulder height, and lighting under the wall cabinets.

Questions homeowners ask us
Can new cabinets suit a 1920s Delray cottage?
Yes. Painted cabinets with beaded or inset doors, an island on legs and simple pulls in brass or iron sit well in a bungalow or a Key West-style cottage. The boxes behind those doors are our standard all-plywood construction with soft-close hardware.
Our villa kitchen has a soffit. Can the cabinets go to the ceiling?
It depends on what is inside the soffit. Empty framing comes out and the uppers run to the ceiling, which adds storage where there was only drywall. A duct or a pipe stays, and the cabinets are designed around it.
Do you work in Kings Point and High Point?
Yes. Both are outside the city limits in unincorporated Palm Beach County but carry Delray Beach addresses. We get the community's rules for contractors and deliveries first, then set the schedule.
What is the difference between your Essential and Signature cabinets?
Essential is shaker or flat-panel doors from our own shop with soft-close everywhere. Signature adds painted or wood-veneer doors and planned storage such as pantry pull-outs and drawer organizers. For a galley kitchen, turnkey without appliances, the calculator shows $14,000–$18,000 at Essential and $24,000–$31,000 at Signature.
Can you build the bathroom vanity at the same time?
Yes. Vanities and medicine cabinets come from the same shop and can match the kitchen finish, on the same itemized quote.
When would the cabinets be installed?
You get the 3D design and the written, itemized price within 5 business days of the consultation. After you sign, the shop builds the cabinets, and a typical kitchen is installed 4–6 weeks after signing. A community's approval, where it applies, comes before the start date.
