Custom Kitchen Cabinets in Hollywood, FL
About 70% of Hollywood's homes were built between 1950 and 1979. Their kitchens get cabinets built to the measured walls, so the corners and the height are put to use.
- Corners and gaps put to use
- Flat-panel, shaker or painted fronts
- All-plywood boxes, dovetail drawers
Three decades of Hollywood kitchens
Hollywood was platted in 1921 and incorporated in 1925, but most of its homes came after the war. By 1960 the city already had more than 12,000 single-family houses, and by Census estimates about 70% of today's homes were built between 1950 and 1979, in nearly equal shares per decade.
A 1950s kitchen may have a short run under a window; a 1970s one, wall cabinets under a soffit and a pass-through. Built to the measured walls, new cabinets use the corners and the height: a corner unit that turns instead of a blind box, a narrow pull-out beside the range, uppers that stop at the ceiling, not a foot below it. A mid-century house also takes flat-panel doors well, in wood veneer or a painted color, if you want the kitchen to belong to the house.

Know what your kitchen remodel costs before anyone walks through your door.
A few quick questions, one honest range built from what we actually charge in South Florida — not a national average from a website that has never seen your kitchen.
What it costs in 2026
What Dreamery projects cost in 2026: a standard kitchen (15–25 linear ft of cabinets) runs $19,000–$24,500 at the Essential level, more for larger layouts and premium finishes; bathrooms from $6,000 for a powder room to $38,000–$49,000 in labor for a Premium primary suite, plus finish materials you buy at retail; flooring $10–18 per sq ft with a $3,000 minimum; whole-home renovations $35–75 per sq ft of living area. Every number comes from our own signed contracts, not a national average — get the range for your project in the calculator. The in-home measure and the written, itemized estimate are free. 3D design package: $99 (regularly $500), free when you sign the contract.
Cabinets are quoted per project, not per foot from a brochure: the price depends on the number of boxes, door style, finish and hardware. Your 3D design comes with one written, itemized quote where the cabinet line is shown separately from countertops and labor.
Because the cabinets come from our own shop, you skip the showroom markup: the same all-plywood, dovetail-drawer construction at direct-from-manufacturer pricing. Promotional financing is available for qualified buyers through our lending partners; pre-qualification takes about a minute with a soft credit pull.

One-bedroom condos and small galleys
About 30% of Hollywood's homes are in buildings of 20 units or more, and about three in ten of all homes have one bedroom or none. In a one-bedroom unit with a short galley, cabinets sized to the inch matter most. A narrower appliance can leave room for more storage, and a pull-out trash base and a tall pantry unit hold more than they seem to.
In a condo the association sets the delivery window, the elevator booking and the hours for noisy work, and may ask for a certificate of insurance. We get those rules first and build the schedule around them.

Questions homeowners ask us
Our Hollywood house is from the 1950s. Will new cabinets fit the old kitchen?
They are built to fit it. The designer measures each wall, window and doorway, and the boxes are drawn to those numbers instead of stepping down to the nearest catalog width. Where the floor or a wall is out of level, end panels and fillers are scribed at installation.
Can you match a mid-century look?
Yes. Flat-panel doors in a wood veneer or a painted color, slim pulls or a J-pull edge, and an island with legs or open shelves suit a 1950s or 1960s house. You see the choice in 3D in your own kitchen before you sign.
What happens to a blind corner?
A blind corner is the deep, dark space where two runs meet. Built to measure, it can take a pull-out that brings the back of the cabinet forward, or the corner can turn with a pair of drawers. Either way the space gets used instead of holding the pan nobody can reach.
Will the cabinets hold up near the beach?
The cabinet boxes are all plywood, and the drawers are dovetailed. Plywood copes with humidity far better than particleboard, which tends to swell first at the sink base. Hinges and slides are soft-close as standard.
How are cabinets priced for an older Hollywood house?
Per project, with the cabinet line on its own in the itemized quote. For the whole kitchen, turnkey without appliances, the calculator gives $14,000–$18,000 for a galley at the Essential level, and for a house built before 1980 it adds 10% plus a fixed amount for what older houses tend to need.
Can I pay for the kitchen over time?
Financing may be available for qualified buyers. Dreamery is not a lender.
