Remodeling a Pompano Beach kitchen
Pompano Beach grew from about 5,700 residents in 1950 to about 52,600 in 1980, and its housing still shows those three decades. By Census estimates two-thirds of today's homes were built before 1980, and about 41% are in buildings of 20 units or more.
In a condo the kitchen usually stays near the plumbing stack, so the plan works inside the footprint: a wider opening to the living room where the wall is not structural, a peninsula with seating, quartz counters, lighting under the cabinets and cabinets built to the inch. In a house the layout can change more, and opening a wall depends on whether it carries the roof, which we find out before the design relies on it.

Small galley kitchens start around $14,000; large kitchens with an island run $26,000–$75,000 depending on finish. Condo logistics and layout changes are priced on top, and the calculator accounts for them. The in-home measure and the written, itemized estimate are free. 3D design package: $99 (regularly $500), free when you sign the contract.

Towers, Palm-Aire, Leisureville and the older streets
Pompano's condos run from the beach towers to inland communities such as Palm-Aire, developed in the late 1960s and 1970s. In each, the association sets hours, elevator bookings and insurance requirements, and we get those rules before the schedule is set.
In Leisureville, a 55+ community of houses and condos built between 1961 and 1984, if the goal is a kitchen that is easier to use, the cabinets do much of it: drawers instead of deep base shelves, everyday dishes below shoulder height, and lighting under the wall cabinets.
In old Northeast Pompano, the houses of the 1950s and early 1960s are low concrete-block ranches. There we look at the drains, the electrical panel and the interior walls at the in-home measure, so the written price accounts for them.

Can our condo kitchen open to the living room?
Sometimes. Walls that are part of the building's structure or carry a riser stay; plain partitions can usually be opened. We confirm what is in the wall before the design removes it, and a wider opening or a peninsula often gets most of the light in when a wall has to stay.
We live in Leisureville. What makes a kitchen easier to use?
Drawers instead of base doors, pull-outs in the corners, a pantry with roll-out shelves and everyday dishes on the lowest shelf of the wall cabinets. Lighting under the cabinets helps as much as any of them.
What does a kitchen remodel cost in Pompano Beach?
Our calculator prices whole kitchens, turnkey without appliances. A galley at the Essential level runs $14,000–$18,000. A condo adds 15% plus a fixed amount for elevator bookings and restricted hours, and a house built before 1980 adds 10% plus a fixed amount.

Where are the cabinets made?
In our own shop in Coral Springs, about half an hour from the beach: all-plywood boxes, solid-wood dovetail drawers and soft-close hardware as standard.
