Bathrooms in Davie houses and townhomes
Davie built steadily from the 1970s on. By Census estimates about a fifth of its homes date from the 1970s, a quarter from the 1980s and a fifth from the 1990s, and about half are detached houses or townhouses. Turning a tub nobody uses into a shower you can walk into is one of our most common bathroom projects, and it can suit houses of that age.
In a primary bath with a separate tub and shower, the two footprints can usually become one larger shower with glass, a bench and a niche. In a hall bath with a tub-shower combination, the shower can take the tub's place and the vanity can be rebuilt with drawers. Powder rooms start around $6,000; primary suites run $24,000–$49,000 in labor. Turning a tub into a walk-in shower adds about 25%. The in-home measure and the written, itemized estimate are free. 3D design package: $99 (regularly $500), free when you sign the contract.
Every bathroom gets a fixed labor price and an itemized shopping list, with no markup: demolition, waterproofing, tile and stone setting, vanity and fixture installation, plumbing and electrical changes and project management are priced in writing before work starts. You buy the finish materials from the shopping list at store price, so nothing hides in an allowance.

Upstairs baths, larger lots and HOAs
About one Davie home in nine is a townhouse. When the bathroom is upstairs, tile, glass and the vanity go up the stairs by hand and debris comes down the same way, and our calculator has a line for it.
In the HOA communities the association sets contractor access and work hours. We get those rules first and set the schedule around them.

Our primary bath has a tub and a separate shower. Can they become one shower?
Usually. The tub and its platform come out, the drain moves where the slab allows, and a sloped, waterproofed pan goes in, followed by tile, a bench or niche and frameless glass. The 3D design shows the new layout before you sign.
Our bathroom is upstairs in a townhome. Is that a problem?
No, it changes the logistics. Tile, glass and the vanity are carried up and debris carried down, so the calculator adds 5% for a second floor without an elevator. We also look at what is below the bathroom, since a leak from an upstairs shower can damage the room underneath.
Can grab bars go in now or later?
Both. While the walls are open we add blocking behind the tile where bars might go, so they can be mounted later without opening the shower.
How is a Davie bathroom priced?
We quote a fixed labor price, and you buy the finish materials at retail from our shopping list, without markup. A mid-size full bath with a separate shower runs $15,000–$19,500 in labor at the Essential level. Finish materials add roughly 35 to 70% of the labor price on top, depending on the level you choose.
Do you build the vanity?
Yes, in our Coral Springs shop: all-plywood boxes and soft-close hardware, sized to your wall. A double vanity can run the full length of the wall, with drawers where an open cabinet used to be.
How long does a bathroom remodel take in Davie?
It depends on the scope. Merging a tub and shower is a bigger job than updating a vanity and tile. Whatever the scope, the finish date is written into the contract, with a penalty schedule for delays on our side.
