What West Palm Beach bathrooms need

West Palm Beach has the widest spread of housing in our service area, and the bathrooms follow it. In the historic districts — El Cid, Flamingo Park, Old Northwood, Grandview Heights — the 1920s Mediterranean and Mission houses have one or two small bathrooms with original tile, a cast-iron tub and plumbing that has been patched for a century. Those are full gut renovations done with respect for the house: the drain and supply lines are replaced back to the main, the floor is releveled, and the new room gets a real shower and storage while keeping the proportions and details that make the house worth owning.

South of Southern and in the Southend, the post-war ranch homes have 5-by-8 bathrooms with a tub-shower combo; the project is a tub-to-shower conversion and a vanity built to the actual wall. West of the turnpike, in Ibis, Breakers West and the newer gated communities, the primary baths are the 1990s–2000s template — corner garden tub, small shower, cultured-marble double vanity — and the two footprints become one large walk-in shower.

Downtown and along Flagler Drive, the bathrooms are in condos where the plumbing stack decides the layout and the building decides the hours. We design within the stack and prepare the board package before anything is ordered.

What it costs in 2026

What Dreamery bathrooms cost in 2026: we price bathrooms as labor plus rough materials. You buy the finish materials (tile, fixtures, a stock vanity) at retail from our exact shopping list with no markup, or we build a custom vanity in our Coral Springs shop and quote it as its own line. A small full bath (5×8) runs $12,000–$15,500 in labor at the Essential level, $15,000–$19,500 at Signature and $19,000–$24,500 at Premium, plus roughly 35–70% of that for finish materials. Powder rooms start around $6,000; primary suites run $24,000–$49,000 in labor. Turning a tub into a walk-in shower adds about 25%; a permit package about $3,500. 3D design package: $99 (regularly $500), credited in full when you go ahead with the project.

Every bathroom gets one written, itemized price for the work, fixed before work starts: demolition, waterproofing, tile and stone setting, vanity and fixture installation, plumbing and electrical changes, permits and project management on one page. Finish materials go on a separate shopping list, so nothing hides in an allowance.

When the vanity and storage come from our own shop, you skip the showroom markup on the cabinetry line. Promotional financing is available for qualified buyers through our lending partners; pre-qualification takes about a minute with a soft credit pull.

Historic districts, condos and permits in West Palm Beach

Inside the city, bathroom work touching plumbing or electrical is permitted through the City of West Palm Beach; in the unincorporated areas west of town it goes through Palm Beach County. Historic-district review applies to the outside of the house — an interior bathroom is not subject to it, but a new window on a street-facing wall is, and we plan for that. Condo buildings add board approval, insurance certificates and work hours; gated communities add contractor-access rules. All of it is handled by our coordinator and included in the price.

In the 1920s houses the galvanized supply lines and cast-iron drains are usually at the end of their life. We look at them during the consultation and price the replacement up front, so the itemized quote is the real number and the bathroom is not opened twice.

Questions homeowners ask us

Can you remodel a bathroom in a historic El Cid or Flamingo Park house?

Yes. The interior is not subject to historic review, so the bathroom can be rebuilt fully — new plumbing, waterproofed shower, vanity built to the wall — while keeping the proportions and details that suit the house. Exterior changes such as a new window go through the city's historic review.

Can you convert my garden tub into a walk-in shower?

Yes — it is the standard project in Ibis, Breakers West and the other 1990s–2000s communities. The tub deck comes out, the drain is relocated inside the combined footprint, a sloped pan and waterproofing membrane go in, then tile, a bench, a niche and frameless glass.

How long does a bathroom remodel take in West Palm Beach?

It depends on scope: a shower conversion is much faster than a full gut of a 1920s bath with new plumbing, and condo approval adds lead time before work starts. Whatever the scope, the finish date goes into your contract in writing, with a penalty schedule for delays on our side.

Do you build the vanities yourselves?

Yes. Vanities, linen towers and medicine cabinets are built in our Coral Springs shop — all-plywood boxes, dovetail drawers, soft-close hardware — sized to your wall and matched to your tile.

Do you work in West Palm Beach if your shop is in Coral Springs?

Yes. West Palm Beach is a regular part of our service area. The designer comes to your home, the vanity is built in our shop while permits are processed, and our own crew installs on a day-by-day schedule.

Which areas around West Palm Beach do you serve?

West Palm Beach and its neighbourhoods — El Cid, Flamingo Park, Northwood, SoSo, Ibis, Breakers West, downtown — plus Palm Beach, Lake Worth Beach, Wellington, Royal Palm Beach and Palm Beach Gardens.
