Custom Kitchen Cabinets in West Palm Beach
In El Cid and Flamingo Park the cabinets have to look like they belong in a hundred-year-old house. Downtown they have to fit a condo galley to the inch. Both start as a drawing, not a catalog page.
- Inset, beaded and painted doors for the historic districts
- Built to the measured opening — no filler strips
- Historic-district and condo paperwork handled
- All-plywood boxes, dovetail drawers, soft-close
Two kinds of cabinet work in West Palm Beach
In El Cid, Flamingo Park, Old Northwood and Grandview Heights the houses are 1920s Mediterranean and Mission: tall ceilings, plaster walls, and a small kitchen closed off from the dining room. What owners ask for is cabinetry that does not look new — inset or beaded doors, a furniture-style island, a painted finish, glass where a plate rack used to be. From a catalog that is a special order with a long lead time. In our own shop it is a line on the drawing: door style and finish are chosen with samples at your house during the 3D design.
South of Southern and through the Southend the houses are post-war ranches, and the problem is almost always the same wall — refrigerator, pantry and doorway competing for eight feet. Downtown and around CityPlace it is condos: galley kitchens where an inch decides whether the dishwasher door clears the island, one service elevator, and a corridor that has to be protected.
If you are changing the room rather than the cabinets, start on the West Palm Beach kitchen page; for construction and cost, framed vs frameless explains what you are choosing between.

West Palm Beach, FL · Instant estimate
Know what your kitchen remodel costs before anyone walks through your door.
Six questions, sixty seconds, one honest range built from what we actually charge in South Florida — not a national average from a website that has never seen your kitchen.
What it costs in 2026
What Dreamery projects cost in 2026: a standard kitchen (15–25 linear ft of cabinets) runs $19,000–$24,500 at the Essential level, more for larger layouts and premium finishes; bathrooms from $6,000 for a powder room to $38,000–$49,000 in labor for a Premium primary suite, plus finish materials you buy at retail; flooring $10–18 per sq ft with a $3,000 minimum; whole-home renovations $35–75 per sq ft of living area. Every number comes from our own signed contracts, not a national average — get the range for your project below. 3D design package: $99 (regularly $500), credited in full when you go ahead.
Cabinets are quoted per project, not per foot from a brochure: the price depends on the number of boxes, door style, finish and hardware. Your 3D design comes with one written, itemized quote where the cabinet line is shown separately from countertops, labor and permits.
Because the cabinets come from our own shop, you skip the showroom markup: the same all-plywood, dovetail-drawer construction at direct-from-manufacturer pricing. Promotional financing is available for qualified buyers through our lending partners; pre-qualification takes about a minute with a soft credit pull.
For full-kitchen price ranges see our kitchen remodel cost guide, and framed vs frameless for what the two constructions cost and look like.
What a historic designation does not touch
Historic-district review in West Palm Beach covers what is visible from the street. Interior cabinetry is not part of it, which surprises owners who expect months of approvals — the kitchen inside a designated house is a permit matter, not a design-review matter. Plumbing and electrical permits go through the City of West Palm Beach and are inspected at rough-in and final, and that is included in project management. In a condo the association package comes first: insurance certificate, work hours, elevator booking.
The shop is about 50 minutes away in Coral Springs, which changes how we schedule rather than what you get: deliveries are batched, and the installers arrive with the whole run plus hardware, so a missing filler does not cost a second trip. Final measurements are taken after demolition, on the actual plaster.

Questions homeowners ask us
Can you match cabinetry to a 1920s house without it looking like a reproduction?
That is the usual brief in El Cid and Flamingo Park. Inset or beaded doors, a painted finish, a furniture-style island and taller uppers that use the ceiling height read as original; the boxes behind them are modern all-plywood construction with soft-close hardware. You see it in 3D before anything is cut.
Does a historic designation slow the kitchen down?
Not the cabinetry. Historic review looks at the exterior and what is visible from the street. Inside, the work needs the normal City of West Palm Beach plumbing and electrical permits; our coordinator prepares the paperwork and schedules the work around the inspections.
My condo kitchen is a galley. Is custom worth it there?
A galley is where built-to-measure pays off most: every inch of the run is usable, the appliance doors are checked against the opposite counter in the 3D model, and storage goes up to the ceiling instead of stopping at a soffit.
You are an hour away — who comes if something needs fixing?
The same company. Designer, project manager and installers are Dreamery employees, and warranty work comes from our own shop rather than from a supplier. Distance changes our scheduling, not who is responsible.
Can you build vanities and other cabinetry at the same time?
Yes — bathroom vanities, medicine cabinets, laundry and closet cabinetry come out of the same shop, on the same contract, matched to the kitchen finish if you want them to be.
