Updating a 1950s Hialeah kitchen
Hialeah incorporated in 1925 and grew fast after the war. Suntan Village went up between 1947 and 1950 with flat concrete roofs, the median house in Hialeah Acres was built in 1953, and Palm Springs filled with low ranch homes through the decade. Kitchens in those houses were built for another time. Small, closed, a short run of counter and not much storage.
Often the best plan keeps the walls where they are and makes the room work harder. Cabinets to the ceiling. Deep drawers instead of shelves you kneel to reach, a corner unit that actually uses the corner, a slim pantry where the old broom closet stood. In a kitchen this size every one of those changes is noticeable.
Our designer measures the room, brings samples and shows you the layout in 3D. The in-home measure and the written, itemized estimate are free. The 3D design package is $99 (regularly $500), and free when you sign the contract.

Hialeah, FL · Instant estimate
Know what your kitchen remodel costs before anyone walks through your door.
A few quick questions, one honest range built from what we actually charge in South Florida — not a national average from a website that has never seen your kitchen.
What it costs in 2026
What Dreamery kitchens cost in 2026: a standard kitchen (15–25 linear ft of cabinets) runs $19,000–$24,500 at the Essential level, $31,500–$41,000 at Signature and $42,000–$54,500 at Premium — turnkey without appliances: demolition, custom cabinets from our own factory, countertops, backsplash, plumbing and electrical, installation and project management. Small galley kitchens start around $14,000; large kitchens with an island run $26,000–$75,000 depending on finish. Condo logistics and layout changes are priced on top, and the calculator accounts for them. The in-home measure and the written, itemized estimate are free. 3D design package: $99 (regularly $500), free when you sign the contract.
Every project gets one written, itemized price that is fixed before work starts — cabinets, countertops, labor and project management on one page. No allowances that quietly grow later.
Because the cabinets come from our own shop, you skip the showroom markup: the same all-plywood, dovetail-drawer construction at direct-from-manufacturer pricing. Promotional financing is available for qualified buyers through our lending partners; pre-qualification takes about a minute with a soft credit pull.

What sits behind the cabinets in an older Hialeah house
Drains and supply lines. Most South Florida houses built before 1975 have cast-iron drain lines, which corrode from the inside over the decades, and some still have galvanized steel supply pipes. A kitchen remodel is a good moment to deal with the section under the sink, because the cabinets are already out. If it needs replacing, you see the price before the work is done.
Walls. In a concrete-block ranch, an interior wall may be carrying the roof. Taking that one out means a beam, more cost and more time. If the wall is a simple partition, opening the kitchen to the dining room is a much smaller job. We find out which one you have before the design depends on it.
Townhomes and condos. West Hialeah filled in later, out toward Miami Lakes, and has many townhome and condo communities whose associations set contractor access and work hours. Our Coral Springs shop is about 40 minutes from Hialeah, so the cabinets have a short trip as finished boxes.

Questions homeowners ask us
What can turn up when the old cabinets come out of a 1950s house?
Most often, the plumbing. Cast-iron drains and galvanized supply lines were common in houses of that age, and decades of use show once the sink base is open. Sometimes it's an old layer of tile or an uneven floor. Anything that changes the scope is priced and shown to you before we continue, and the written price changes only with your approval.
Can I open my kitchen to the living room in a concrete-block house?
Often, yes. It depends on whether that wall holds up the roof. A partition comes out with little fuss. A bearing wall needs a beam sized for the load, which adds cost and days. We settle the question at the measure, so the 3D design and the price reflect the real answer.
My Hialeah kitchen is small. How much storage can a remodel add?
A fair amount, without moving walls. The biggest gains come from uppers that reach the ceiling, deep drawers in place of base cabinets with doors, a corner pull-out and a narrow pantry where space allows. The 3D design shows where everything goes before you commit.
Do you remodel kitchens in Hialeah townhomes and condos?
Yes, and many of them are in West Hialeah. The association usually wants to know who is working, when, and where materials get unloaded. We get those rules first and schedule around them; the design, the cabinets and the price work the same way as in a house.
How long will I be without a kitchen?
On a typical job, installation wraps up 4–6 weeks after you sign the contract. The finish date is part of the contract, backed by a penalty schedule should we cause a delay. The room is out of use from demolition to the final walkthrough, so a microwave and a coffee maker in another room help. If old plumbing needs replacing, you see the effect on the calendar before you approve it.
Can I pay for my Hialeah kitchen over time?
Promotional financing options may be available for qualified buyers through our lending partners. Pre-qualification takes about a minute with a soft credit pull that does not affect your score. Dreamery is not a lender; offers are subject to lender approval.
