What Boynton Beach bathrooms need

Most of Boynton's bathrooms sit in association communities, and their build dates decide the project. In Hunters Run and Leisureville the villas date from the 1970s and 1980s: one tub-shower combo, a narrow door and a vanity you cannot reach into. The work there is nearly always the same — take out the tub, build a low-threshold or curbless shower with a bench and a hand shower, widen the entry where the framing allows, and replace the vanity with drawers. Done properly it is a bathroom that looks current and happens to be easy to use for the next twenty years.

In the Valencia communities west of Military Trail — Valencia Isles, Valencia Cove, Valencia Lakes — the homes are from the late 1990s and 2000s with the primary bath of that era: corner garden tub, small separate shower, cultured-marble double vanity, one long mirror. The tub goes, the two footprints become one large walk-in shower, the vanity is rebuilt to the wall with quartz, and the lighting stops being a single strip over the mirror.

East of Federal, in Sterling Village and the older streets near the Intracoastal, the bathrooms are in 1950s and 60s buildings and condos where the drain cannot move far and the association sets the hours. We design within the stack and prepare the board package before anything is ordered.

What it costs in 2026

What Dreamery bathrooms cost in 2026: we price bathrooms as labor plus rough materials. You buy the finish materials (tile, fixtures, a stock vanity) at retail from our exact shopping list with no markup, or we build a custom vanity in our Coral Springs shop and quote it as its own line. A small full bath (5×8) runs $12,000–$15,500 in labor at the Essential level, $15,000–$19,500 at Signature and $19,000–$24,500 at Premium, plus roughly 35–70% of that for finish materials. Powder rooms start around $6,000; primary suites run $24,000–$49,000 in labor. Turning a tub into a walk-in shower adds about 25%; a permit package about $3,500. 3D design package: $99 (regularly $500), credited in full when you go ahead with the project.

Every bathroom gets one written, itemized price for the work, fixed before work starts: demolition, waterproofing, tile and stone setting, vanity and fixture installation, plumbing and electrical changes, permits and project management on one page. Finish materials go on a separate shopping list, so nothing hides in an allowance.

When the vanity and storage come from our own shop, you skip the showroom markup on the cabinetry line. Promotional financing is available for qualified buyers through our lending partners; pre-qualification takes about a minute with a soft credit pull.

Communities and permits in Boynton Beach

Inside the city, bathroom work touching plumbing or electrical is permitted through the City of Boynton Beach; west of the city line it goes through Palm Beach County. Both are routine and included. The community layer is what needs planning: most of Boynton's gated and 55+ developments require an alteration application and work inside posted weekday hours. Our coordinator prepares the package and schedules around the rules.

In the 1970s villas the wall beside the tub is usually non-structural, which is what makes a wider, more open shower possible; in the Valencia homes the garden-tub deck comes out cleanly and the combined footprint takes a full walk-in shower without cutting the slab beyond the drain. We confirm both on the first visit.

Questions homeowners ask us

Can you build a shower that is easy to step into?

Yes — it is the most common request in Boynton's 55+ communities. Depending on the slab and drain we build a low-threshold or fully curbless shower, with a bench, a hand shower and blocking in the walls so grab bars can go exactly where you want them, now or later.

Do you handle the community approval?

Yes. We prepare the alteration application, insurance certificates and contractor documents the community asks for, and we work within the posted hours. It is part of project management, not an extra fee.

How long does a bathroom remodel take in Boynton Beach?

It depends on scope: a shower conversion is faster than a full gut, and community approval adds lead time before work starts. Whatever the scope, the finish date goes into your contract in writing, with a penalty schedule for delays on our side.

Do you build the vanities yourselves?

Yes. Vanities, linen towers and medicine cabinets are built in our Coral Springs shop — all-plywood boxes, dovetail drawers, soft-close hardware — sized to your wall and matched to your tile.

Can I see the design before committing?

Yes. The in-home consultation is free. The 3D design package — a rendering of your new bathroom plus one itemized price within 5 business days — is $99 instead of the regular $500, and the $99 is credited in full when you sign your project with us.

Which Boynton Beach areas do you serve?

All of Boynton Beach and the unincorporated areas west of it: Hunters Run, the Valencia communities, Leisureville, Sterling Village, Quantum Village and the streets east of Federal — plus neighbouring Delray Beach and Lake Worth Beach.
