What West Palm Beach kitchens ask for

West Palm Beach has the widest spread of housing in our service area, and the kitchen work follows it. In the historic districts — El Cid, Flamingo Park, Old Northwood, Grandview Heights — the houses are 1920s Mediterranean and Mission bungalows with small, closed kitchens off a dining room. Owners want the wall opened, the ceiling height used, and cabinetry that looks like it belongs in a 100-year-old house: inset or beaded doors, furniture-style islands, painted finishes. Because we build the cabinets ourselves, that detail is a design decision, not a special order.

South of Southern and the Southend are post-war ranch homes with galley kitchens and a soffit over the uppers; the job there is a layout change — soffit out, peninsula to island, a real pantry. Downtown and along Flagler Drive the kitchens are in condos, where the building sets the rules and the plumbing stack sets the layout. West of the turnpike, in Ibis, Breakers West and the newer gated communities, homes from the 1990s–2000s get the same treatment as in Weston: builder-grade cabinets replaced with full-height storage, larger islands, integrated appliances.

Our shop is in Coral Springs, about 50 minutes down the turnpike. That distance changes nothing about the process: the designer measures in your home, the cabinets are built while permits are processed, and our own crew installs on a day-by-day schedule with a written finish date.

What it costs in 2026

What Dreamery kitchens cost in 2026: a standard kitchen (15–25 linear ft of cabinets) runs $19,000–$24,500 at the Essential level, $31,500–$41,000 at Signature and $42,000–$54,500 at Premium — turnkey without appliances: demolition, custom cabinets from our own factory, countertops, backsplash, plumbing and electrical, installation and project management. Small galley kitchens start around $14,000; large kitchens with an island run $26,000–$75,000 depending on finish. A permit package (about $3,500), condo logistics and layout changes are priced on top — the calculator below accounts for them. 3D design package: $99 (regularly $500), credited in full when you go ahead with the project.

Every project gets one written, itemized price that is fixed before work starts — cabinets, countertops, labor, permits and project management on one page. No allowances that quietly grow later.

Because the cabinets come from our own shop, you skip the showroom markup: the same all-plywood, dovetail-drawer construction at direct-from-manufacturer pricing. Promotional financing is available for qualified buyers through our lending partners; pre-qualification takes about a minute with a soft credit pull.

Historic districts, condos and permits in West Palm Beach

Inside the city, kitchen work with plumbing, electrical or structural changes is permitted through the City of West Palm Beach; in the unincorporated areas west of town it goes through Palm Beach County. In the historic districts the review applies to the outside of the house — an interior kitchen remodel is not subject to it, but a new window or a vent hood exhaust on a street-facing wall is, and we plan for that in the design. Condo buildings add board approval, insurance certificates and work hours; gated communities add contractor-access rules. All of it is handled by our coordinator and included in the price.

One thing worth knowing about 1920s houses: the original kitchen wiring and galvanized supply lines are usually still there behind the plaster. We check during the consultation and, if they need replacing, put it in the itemized quote up front instead of discovering it mid-project.

Questions homeowners ask us

Do you work in West Palm Beach if your shop is in Coral Springs?

Yes. West Palm Beach is a regular part of our service area. The designer comes to your home for the consultation, the cabinets are built in our shop while permits are processed, and our own crew installs on a day-by-day schedule — the same process as for a home next door to the shop.

Can you match the character of a historic El Cid or Flamingo Park house?

Yes — that is where an in-house cabinet shop matters. Inset doors, beaded frames, furniture-style islands and painted finishes are built to your drawings rather than picked from a catalog. The interior of a historic-district home is not subject to historic review; only exterior changes are.

How long does a kitchen remodel take in West Palm Beach?

A typical kitchen is 4–6 weeks from signed contract to final walkthrough. Structural changes, such as opening a load-bearing wall in an older house, can extend it; condo approvals add lead time before work starts. You get a written finish date in the contract.

Do you handle permits, HOA and condo approvals?

Yes. City of West Palm Beach or Palm Beach County permits, condo board packages and HOA contractor-access paperwork are prepared by our coordinator. It is part of project management, not an extra fee.

Can I see the design before committing?

Yes. The in-home consultation is free. The 3D design package — a rendering of your new kitchen plus one itemized price within 5 business days — is $99 instead of the regular $500, and the $99 is credited in full when you sign your project with us.

Which areas around West Palm Beach do you serve?

West Palm Beach and its neighborhoods — El Cid, Flamingo Park, Northwood, SoSo, Ibis, Breakers West, downtown — plus Palm Beach, Lake Worth Beach, Wellington, Royal Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens and Jupiter.
